Bicycle routes
Meșendorf is located in the heart of Transylvania, and is part of a 40 km bicycle route that connects the well-known fortified churches in the area. You can reach all of these landmarks in a one-day tour from the village to Viscri, Crit, Bunești, Saschiz, Cloașterf. You can bring your own bike or rent one of Bunești from Bikecheck Inn, and on request we can find you a guide or send the marked routes on GPS. Quiet trails through forests and meadows are suitable for both beginners and those with more experience.
Guided walks
What better way to enjoy the surroundings of Mesendendorf peacefully than on foot? The hills around the village are ideal for easy walks on foot, through the forest or through the pastures rich in spontaneous flora. Extensive pastures and forests as far as the eyes can see, without fences or car noise, offer peace and relaxation. On the way we can stop for a picnic wherever we find a suitable place. We adapt these activities according to the physical condition, wishes and needs of the guests
Carriage rides
For cart rides we involve the locals and their horses, so you have the opportunity to chat with them and find out more about life in the village.
Upon request, cheese stops and tastings can be arranged at the sheepfolds in the area.
Culinary indulgence
Here we recommend Meșendorf 65. Adrian and Oana Udrea have a soul project in the heart of Transylvania, in our village, where years ago, delighted by the special beauty of the places, they became producers of matured cheeses, made from raw cow's milk, under the branded Cheese from Mesendorf. At the same time Meșendorf 65, is a local gastronomic point for tourists arriving in the area.

The hills and forests around Mesendendorf are home to some of the most important species in Romania's wildlife. Here, the brown bear, the wolf, the wild cat, the Carpathian deer, the wild boar, the deer or the fox are at home. Whether you can admire them in their natural environment or you will only see traces, the experience is unique and unforgettable. Also the life of the birds in the area is amazing and you will have the chance to see a great variety of species from our observatory.
